This marks a milestone for the Pomeroy shop… #200! I wanted it to be unique and had thought to try this for some time. The top and back overhang the sides and in place of bindings I have inlaid perfling into a more pronounced re-curve around the perimeter. It’s assembled with traditional hide glue and finished with a brushed oil varnish and so is a reflection of violin construction in many ways. The results of this have excited me and I am anxious to build more like it in the future. Tonewise, it has a pronounced bluegrass bark across the fingerboard with crisp, crystalline highs and open, guttural lows.

Mandolin #200 also features:

  • Colorado Englemenn top, with tone bars
  • Figured Red maple back sides and neck
  • Golden Age “Relic” tuners
  • 1 1/8″ width bone nut
  • Soft “V” neck profile
  • Radiused fingerboard with MOP dots and side markers
  • Bill James solid cast tailpiece with “Pomeroy” inscription hand applied oil varnish finish
  • Hardshell case
  • Full lifetime warranty

Offered at $3200.00 [ SOLD ]
