A-2 Mandolin #202, like the two point before it, has been built with the violin in mind. The top and back overhang the sides, with inlaid perfling in a more pronounced re-curve around the perimeter. And like #200, is assembled with traditional hide glue and finished with a hand-applied oil varnish. Tonewise, this unique A-2 offers up a sweetness that has to be experienced to be really heard and felt, with a very big and open, balanced presentation… resonant lows all the way up to bell like, crystalline highs.
