This mandolin, just completed in February 2026. Another A style oval hole and is currently available as of Feb 17.  It features an x-braced Englemenn top, figured maple back, sides and neck. Tonally, it’s developing nicely and reflects everything I strive for. I couldn’t be happier with it. Give the audio sample a listen.

It also includes:

-triple laminated neck with 2 way adj. truss rod

– 1 3/16″ nut width, “soft V” neck profile

-ebony fingerboard radiused at 10-12″

-Bill James solid cast tailpiece w/ “Pomeroy” inscription.

-Grover 409 tuners

-shop built adj. bridge/saddle

“I am really enjoying my mandolin! It plays beautifully and sounds amazing. I play all different types of music and it really can handle anything well – celtic, old-time, jazz, classical, pop, etc. Even though it’s not really designed for it, as long as the other players aren’t obnoxious about volume it can hang with any bluegrass jam and fit right in. It does everything a great instrument should – when I’m playing it I don’t want to put it down, and I think about playing it when I’m doing other things. Really happy with the mandolin.”  Clayton Reck, owner
