Just completed in June, this fully appointed oval hole features an artist grade Adirondack spruce top and fully applied oil varnish finish. With the AD top, the tone is predictably crisper, focused and notably brighter than the Englemenn I typically use, but it still embraces a full and sustaining low end with enduring balance and response. This mandolin will work well in any musical setting, whether as a solo kitchen picker or competing with the strident volume of fiddles and bluegrass banjos in a big festival jam. Give the audio samples below a listen.
It also features:
– X braced, artist grade Adirondack Spruce top
-figured maple sides and back
-triple laminated neck with 2 way adj. truss rod
– 1 3/16″ nut width, “soft V” neck profile
-ebony fingerboard radiused at 10-12″
-Golden Age 2-piece tailpiece
-Grover 409 tuners
-shop built adj. bridge/saddle
– includes Crossrock tweed hardshell
This mandolin sold for 3200.00
