Completed in May of 2025, this was a custom build and features a stealthy black top with black binding in Englemenn spruce, speed neck and figured maple back, sides and neck.
“Well Don, I couldn’t be happier with the mandolin! I can’t put it down. Now that I’ve worn the sheen off the new strings, I can really hear the depth and the woodiness of this new instrument, what a rich, marvelous tone. I really can’t wait to put it through its paces at some gigs- I have a strong feeling that it’ll perform most excellently. I’m particularly pleased with how strong the high string is without being shrill or too bright. Can’t thank you enough!”
