This custom build was completed in May, 2023 for a good friend and member of our local, weekly old time/celtic jam. For her, a 19″ scale length is the best of all worlds.. as close as we could come without the transposing involved with a mandola! It does require heavier strings than my typical 22 3/4″ octave scale length, so I mix sets of single strings to get it just right. It also features:
