This is the first mandola that I’ve built with purflings and overhangs, “violin style”, like the two point mandolin #200 that proceeded. I love the very vintage look, especially with the matte finish. It’s strung with Thomastic flat wound strings and has a wonderful, rich classical tone. It’s a one of a kind and I’m especially proud of everything about it.

Hi Don, Well, I’ve been spending a couple of hours every day with your mandola. It is wonderful, and keeps getting better and better. I had high hopes for this instrument, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Tyler Jackson fell in love with it, too. You’ve got the magic, bro. Many thanks.
